COWBOY JIHAD

This is the town of Prineville, Oregon, where cowboy hats and boots are commonly worn, pickup trucks are the normal mode of transportation and where Facebook and now Apple have humongous data centers.

Prineville is the setting for Cowboy Jihad, my novel which depicts an al-Qaida attempt to blow up the data center that is managed by a US Army war vet who is grappling with a dark secret from Afghanistan. A young American who had linked up with al-Qaida and a sheriff team up to try to prevent the attack as hit men sent by the terror group descend on the town.

New York Times best-selling author CJ Box (whose cool novels are set in Wyoming) said Cowboy Jihad "is timely, provocative, and propulsive. Like me, readers will be thrilled by this debut novel by a novelist who has been there and knows of what he writes.”

Chapter 1 and most of chapter 2 are here.
